Why does it seem like people would rather ignore the environment than do something? Do they really think that will make it all better? The world throws away enough recyclable plastic bottles every three weeks, that, if lined up, they could reach to the moon. And Back. That Styrofoam cup that held your coffee this morning will still be in a landfill in 500 years. That thirty minute shower? 210 gallons of water. Down the drain! Some people comfort themselves on the belief that they can't do anything. The truth is, you can do a lot.
Buy A fifteen dollar aerated shower head. Save 350 gallons a week. Use paper instead of Styrofoam. Recycle. Just trying a little bit, putting a little thought and effort into it, could make the largest of difference. I've had a bad day, I need a long shower. I don't see a recycling bin-I'll just throw it away. Man, I left That Light on-Oh, I'll Just leave it. Stop. Don't ignore. Think again.
